D7i CHEAP and AWESOME external flash solution

Well gang, I just received my FS-1100 minolta hot shoe adaptor. This adaptor, plus any standard ISO hot shoe external flash, results in a MUCH cheaper flash solution than Minolta's 2 expensive choices.

I have both the Sunpak 383 and Vivitar 3000, both work fantastic.

In case you don't know how simple "auto thyristor flashes" work, simply go to manual mode on camera, set aperture on camera to same aperture on the flash, set shutter to 1/125 or so (not crucial... even 1/2000 works on D7i !!), and enjoy. Try to pick a flash that has both swivel and tilt head, which gives maximum flexibility when shooting.
