Becoming a little suspicious of B&H
Jan 5, 2009

Just went through the process of returning my second Tamron 28-72/2.8 to B&H Photo. When I received the lens I took the lens out and left all the documentation in the plastic bag in the box. I did notice that the manufacturers box appeared to have been opened.

After some testing I determined that the lens was way to soft so I initiated the process of returning the lens for exchange. In the process of following their instructions of preparing the package for return I discovered that there was no warranty card in the documentation package and that was one of the things that B&H was specific about returning. Luckily I had a warranty card from a precious Tamron lens purchase so I put it in the package.

There may be a good explanation for what happened but it makes me very suspicious since the box appeared to have been opened when I got it.
Anyone else have any stories to add?
You pay for what you get but you don't necessarily get what you pay for
