Is my backup method sufficient?

After reading a horrible story online here about someone who lost lots of photos recently I am now questioning my method of backing up photos and would like any feedback on what, if anything, different I should do. Here is what I do:

As soon as possible after taking photos I take all of them off of my SD card (from the D90) and upload onto my laptop. I then backup these most recent photos onto a USB Flash Drive. I have two external Hard Drives which I store at work where they are kept in a secure area. About every week or so I bring one ext HD home and backup all of these recently uploaded photos. I then return to work the next day with the external hard drive and bring the other external hard drive home and do the same thing. This way I have two exact copies of the thousands of pics that I have on my laptop saved on two external hard drives. I sort my photos by year/month/event within that month (if any). I also have DVD-R's for each year that I keep in a bank safe deposit box. Every few months or so I add the last few months of photos onto the current year DVD-R at my bank's safe deposit box. And that is it......any comments/suggestions?
