Pentax portrait setup question from OLY user.
Dec 26, 2008

I am a lifelong OLY user, and MAY remain one for the time being. I do love OLY and will only change over should one problem I am having be unresolvable.

I need to get some feedback from Pentax users. I primarily shoot actor's headshots... outdoors, in shade, natural lighting, sometimes flash, and SELDOME studio. Due to finances at the time, and depending on what I can get for my OLY setup, I need suggestions on a lens and flash. For what I do, I prefer a range of around 85mm-150mm (in 35mm terms). I believe Pentax digital has a 1.5x crop factor? I would like to know the very best lens Pentax makes for what I am looking? I have to have an f2.8 at the very least, and I do not like Sigma, Tamron, or Tokina glass as I am use to using the VERY good OLY f2 lenses. Any suggestions? Also, any suggestions regarding flash? I would probably only have around $3k right now to spend, and it's doubtful I could replace my camera body, grip, lens, and flash for anything close to that... but I thought I would at least ask the folks here that use Pentax. I need a very good body, grip, tack sharp f2.8 lens around 85-150mm, and a TTL flash with wireless capabilities, if possible, for around $3k. Is this doable at all?

Thanks again,
