Burst depth in raw is one frame deeper with a UDMA card and the frames in the buffer will write faster. But the big advantage will be in transferring images from the card to the computer, where UDMA cards, working with UDMA readers, kick butt.

That said, I'm not using UDMA card (SanDisk Ultra II) or a UDMA reader and I'm not having any problems.
