anyone shot an evening ski show at a lighted sloped?

Just a question, next januar I will go to austria for a skitrip and in the evenings, there's always a show of skiteachers and local kids. A lot of people will come to that always. The slope which ends in the village is always lighted but I'm not sure if my F4 70-200IS would be fast enough.

Did anyone shot such a show too before?

My 17-50 2.8 is probable to short because it's always very crowed at such an event.
