D90 vs. D300

What do you think about the D90 Will it be compatible with D,G,and ED lenses and SB800 flash Some said that the D90 is the same sensor as the D300. Does that mean it will give the same quality photos?

If I dont go with the D300 would I be better off with the D90 rather then the D200.......... Im just switching over from 35mm , so I really know squat.

I would really appriciate some imput
