E-500 and Leica 14-150mm

Hi
I have oly E-500 with the kit lens. Now I am thinking about buying the Leica 14-1500mm lens, so I have the opportunities to use IS and have a nice travel lens. Do anybody have some experience with this combination. I like to now ex.
Will the Leica lens work perfect at the oly E-500 body?
Are there some features there is not working? (I have red about mode 1 is working but not mode 2, but what is the different)
