MB-D10 - Love it!
Nov 11, 2008

I picked up the MB-D10 for my new D300 mainly for the 8fps for shooting taekwondo competitions, and now I don't want to take it off even for everyday shooting.

It reminds me a bit of my FE-2's w/ MD-12 attached: a great camera made better!

One advantage I discovered almost immediately is that in with theadded weight and bulk you get significant added stability for slow shutter speeds, adding to the already very good low light capablities of the camera. Even in good light the added steadiness makes the camera feel better in my hands.

Apart from that, the added controls (AF lock, release button, and multi selector are well placed and seem to be of the same high quality as the camera itself.

It won't suit everyone, I'm sure, but to me the camera feels right, complete, and natural with it, as though Nikon had the grip in mind when they designed the camera. IMHO it takes to D300 from semi-pro to fully pro level.
