Can D90 be set to meter like D200?

DPReview says:

“Our only real worry about the D90 is the matrix metering, which seems to be so strongly connected to the selected AF point that it allows highlights to clip a bit too often for our liking. There is an option to fine-tune the meter (and assign a different amount of correction to each metering mode), if you find it a consistent problem.”

Has anyone tried this—can it be set to function like the D200/300? I really don’t want to buy another digital camera that blows highlights and forces a "workaround" like the D80. If the meter can be adjusted to act like its Pro big brothers—sounds like it can--the D90 may be worth a try.

Thx
