D90 BJP review ...
"Exposure metering has traditionally been generous in recent Nikon DSLRS. The D90's 420 segment 3D colour matrix seems to have been moderated a touch - it does not have the tendency to give a stop too much when confronted by typical landscapes, as the D80 or D300 can do. In this respect it is more like the D60, pitching the histogram a little further to the left." BJP It goes on to mention bracketing can + - 5EV, 2 stop increments. As usual with any of these reviews there doesn't seem to supporting image analysis.
If people are interested and have access, the British Journal Of
Photography has a review on the D90 in this weeks publication.
Out of interest, on the matrix metering they reckon the
characteristics of the D90 are more akin to the D60, and less like
the D80 or perhaps the D300...
Meaning what? Does it work the same way? Does it have similar
problems? Please elaborate!
