Ken Rockwell reports that "Digital is Dying"
Oct 30, 2008

Ken Rockwell ( ) today published an article entitled "Why Digital is Dying." He gives ten reasons why this is so, although he uses the number seven twice (perhaps he LIKES seven!).

One of the reasons that film is better than digital, according to Ken, is that you don't waste time and attention looking at the back of the camera after you take a photograph. (This means that I can improve my new D300 for pennies by putting some black electrical tape over the LCD.)

Another reason that digital is dying is because "wives and girlfriends love film."

His final reason is that film has all the benefits of digital.

I won't bother to argue these points, nor will I go out of my way to bash Mr. Rockwell. I'm just reporting what he wrote.

Oh, he didn't say "yay" in this article, as he often does, but he does use the term "Whoo whoo!".

Whoo whoo, indeed.
