Sensor scratch. Now what?

I'm an idiot. Let's just get that out of the way first.
I have a three month old 5D, I saw a speck on the sensor filter. Wouldn't move with a gentle blow. Decided to lightly use a Qtip to try and get it off. Low and behold a scratch right in the middle. I have subsequently bought and wet cleaned several times with the Dust-Wand kit in hopes that it was a smear and not a scratch, but it is still there.
Show stopper? No. Easily fixed in photoshop? Yes. Annoying as heck. YES !! It's a constant reminder of how stupid I was.
What are my options for repair? I have heard of sending it back to Canon. What does this typically cost for a 5D? I have also heard of LifePixel, looks like $625 based on their website. Can a local camera shop do this? Any other options?
Thanks.
