Let's face it - A900 is nice, but not best in class

Why get all defensive just because it wasn't named the best hands down? I waited for A900 as much as anyone who has Minolta glass, but the camera does have some issues:
1) Noise is stronger than from cameras made by competitors

2) NR is overdone

3) MS Duo is useless since no one uses it and I'm sure many won't spend money on it over the CF.

4) top LCD is less informative that many would like

It still has some strong points:

  • Best viewfinder

  • huge sensor

  • FF stabilized sensor

  • great ergonomics

Now that we have the best attempt at DSLR from Sony, just accept it for what it is. There is no point in blaming reviewer for bias, pixel peeping, wrong testing procedures.

If you like the camera - maybe you will buy it, and if you don't like it - well, there are plenty of others.
But there is no need to defend it - no one can take away it's strong features.
