REAL life experiences from people upgraded from 40D to 50D

The forum seems to be full of all kinds of more or less scientific comparisons and pixel peeping excercises of 40D vs 50D.

I would be very curious to hear real life experiences from people who have done that upgrade. I saw some positive comments from JAK (i think it was).

Anybody else? How would you describe your feeling about the IQ (or AF, noise etc)? I mean experience from your normal photographing trips etc not lab comparisons.. Any overall conclusions? Was it worth upgrading?
