Nikon D700/D3 & Sigma 24/1.8

Due to the fact, that Nikon is unable to bring us fast wide primes, Im thinking of this one on a D700.
Anybody with this duo, who could post experience?
I have a nikkor 24-70/2.8, but I want that extra EV and I want a prime, which is lighter.
