Anyone used 12-24mm sigma on a 5D?

I'm looking to invest in a ultra wide lens. Someone mentioned 12-24mm Sigma as being pretty decent. My budget isn't great, and I don't think I could afford any of the L lens.
How about the Tokina 12-24mm? It this compatible with 5D?
Any one have experience with the 12-24mm sigma or Tokina? Please post pictures
