DK-21m with D80 or D90

Has anyone used the DK-21m on a D80 or more recently a D90 body. Can you please give some insight on how it performs on these bodies.
I am interested in using it for enlarging the view, but I don't want to lose the edges or move around to see the whole image.
The users with smaller viewfinders (D50/D70/D40/D60) are relatively satisfied but those cameras have really small (tunnel like) viewfinders.
Please share your experience.
