To Zeiss or not to Zeiss

I'm in the market for a new prime, preferably in the 85mm range, top of my list is the Nikkor 85mm f/1.4 and the Zeiss 85mm f1.4. Also on my mind is the possibility of a new Nikkor being released soon (AFs? VR? f/1.2? Nano coating?).

The big question is... Is the Zeiss lens worth it? The MF part is a low point but i think it might actually help me artistically... But I'm talking optically, is it far superior to the Nikkors? Anyone have any good samples, shot into the sun with this lens? How is the build quality?
