i know this has been discussed before, but the problem seems to be that publishers and other media managers seem to think they dont have to pay for photos anymore

the other day i heard the editor of a large north american daily newpaper referring to photographers simply as content providers

firemen and other ems personell are now, in some markets, routinely taking photos as scenes of emergencies in the hope of being published, while the pros are kept behind police lines

its like the stock market, when the great unwashed start buying a stock its time to get out

anyway, im sure ansel adams is turning in his grave, the attitudes of media managers is becoming pathetic towards professiionals
