Where to shoot...Orlando FL

Heading to Flordia in the middle of September (1st time in the USA)....wondered if there where any recommendations of some places to visit (other than the parks!!) for some nice shots?
Also, any pros and cons for and against taking the D40 to the parks or should I stick with our handy P&S camera?
