Aperture question: One image in two projects. How to delete?
Aug 15, 2008

While reorganizing my library, somehow I managed to have two projects (not albums!) pointing to the same referenced file. I looked at the Metadata - same image, same location.

I want to delete it from one of the projects now as I do not need it any longer there. Once I try to delete it, I get a warning that all versions of are going to be deleted and I am given an option (checkbox) to move the actual referenced file to trash. I keep the checkbox unchecked (I need the file!) but when click Ok, I get a Active Versions warning that tells me I am going loose ALL the active versions. I tried, if I chose to Continue, file goes to Trash.

So, to sum it up - if I delete a file from one project, I loose it in every project I have.

Is there a way to remove file from one of the projects while keeping it in another?
