I don't know of any way to eliminate pre-flash with any of the Sony or Minolta flashes.

But you could set the camera to manual mode, attach an adapter like to this one ( http://cgi.ebay.com/Flash-Hot-Shoe-Adapter-4-Sony-A100-A700-Konica-Minolta_W0QQitemZ180266168440QQihZ008QQcategoryZ64352QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem ), and use a thryster type flash (like a Sunpak 383).
