Pro 9000 yellows are orange
Jul 13, 2008

I've gotten the colors on my new Canon Pro 9000 to look good. Or I thought I had until I printed a photo that is almost entirely yellow. It prints orange. I tried another photo that has a mix of colors (daffodils, trees, grass, bricks) -- all of the colors look great except that the daffodils are orange.

I'm printing from Aperture. In the print dialogue I have set Color Correction to "None" and am using an ICC profile for the paper. To get rid of a rosy color cast I'd had, I dialed in +10 Cyan, -8 Magenta and +7 Yellow in the Color Options section of the print dialogue. Works very well for all other colors I've printed.

I printed a test pattern to make sure that there isn't a problem with the yellow nozzle. It looked good.

Any ideas what could cause this? Thanks.
