Advice for lens purchase in Boston

I am travelling to Boston for a week at Harvard in a few weeks from the UK and would welcome any suggestions of a camera shop in the area where I could purchase the Canon EF 500mm f/4 L.

Does anyone also have a current price in the US for this lens? In the UK it is almost £4000 / $7800.
