best normal lens for a 5D?

I don't care about AF...

What is the best 50mm"ish" lens for a 5D even via adapter?

I heard the minolta rokkor 58mm 1.2 is pretty sick for example.

Are there any cool offering from other brands?

What I care about is focusing ring smoothness, bokeh, build and minimum focusing distance.

The 50mm 1.2 L is very appealing but before spending so much I would like to know if I am missing anything.
