Before purchasing the 1DMarkIII

I'm going to go for it. Been waiting for documented hardware/software issues to be addressed, appears as if it's a reasonably safe time to buy. That said, in purchasing what I expect will be a factory new body (i.e., not a return of refurb), what are the indicators to look for, ones that would likely guarantee the unit is in fact brand new , the number of shutter actuations for example.

Also, I've visited DPR occasionally for several years now, am aware of the multitude of posts regarding the Mark III's previous problems and am aware that there's a serial number range in which defective units were identified. I don't expect my new camera will fall into that range but just out of curiosity, what is or are the latest serial numbers for the Mark III (if anyone knows).
