Quality of "PROFESSIONAL" cameras too high!!
Jun 19, 2008

I just contacted the Loudoun Foundation regarding the use of cameras at this Sunday's Pat Benetar concert at the Loudoun Summer Music Fest in Ashburn, Va. and was told that any camera that has a removeable lens such as a SLR is considered a "PRO" camera which takes too high a quality of picture and is therefore not allowed at the concert. I was told the bands don't like high quality photos of themselves. It would seem that blurry out of focus photos are OK though as any other camera without a removeable lens is OK. I can take blurry photos with a SLR quite easily. Why should the P&S users get to make all the bad pictures? I want to have some fun too! They don't mind you taking pictures just don't take any good ones. Can ANYONE explain this reasoning to me?
