will pentax exist in 5 years as a SLR maker?

Hoya's acquisition of Pentax stirred up some feelings that they might go somewhere.

I like the lens line up, but I am stuck with Canon, one of the reasons I stay is I know they (Canon) aren't going anywhere.

There is news as recently as June that Hoya is selling parts of the Pentax brand to people (printers to Brother), I know Japanese business is different than American. I guess perhaps I should just wait a year or so and see.

I would suspect that if anything it would be sold off to Samsung, but I don't know much about the situation.

What do you guys who actually shoot Pentax think?
