sigma 30mm f/1.4 front focus issue

Hi,

Just got a new Sigma 30mm f/1.4 for my D40 from B&H. Unfortunately, it appears to a severe front focus issue, off by several inches on a subject a few feet away. This is visible not only on a test chart, but also on "real" subjects. I'll try to post some samples later tonight. (Yes, I know many people blame this on operator error)

In the mean time: would you suggest to send it back to B&H for a replacement, or send it to Sigma for recalibration?
