S100fs Lens Hood - It is awfully BIG!

Well whatever the camera has to offer over my S9600 it certainly gets a raspberry for its lens hood.
The hood on my S9600 is a tidy size and when not needed nestles tidily and inconspicuously around the lens housing when not in use. While the trumpet you fit on the end of the S100FS looks ridiculous when fitted backwards on the front of the camera.
Agh!
