70-200 f2.8 non-IS handholding!!!!!

Hi All....

I am about to get 70-200 f2.8 non-IS, I would like to know how handholdable it is in indoors and lowlight situations. IS version is bit our of my reach :(. Please do share your experience and samples would be great help. I will be using it mainly for potraits and street photos.
