DXO worth buying?

I do quite a bit of photo work which requires me to process a large amount of pictures. Usually, the final end result is not that important, but I find it very cumbersome to process over 500 pictures for noise reduction, levels, sharpening etc

Is DxO a good option to make this easier? Alternatives? I tried lightroom but find it pretty difficult to use.
