How does SteadyShot® Adjust for Lens Focal Length??

That's my understanding that SSS is for the body shake...(m)

effected by the hands/related movement and not as a direct function of transmitted focal length. I can't seem to find SONY's official memo/instruction that SSS works only with known focal length. All I know, I am using now lots of manual lenses and I don't have any problem with blurs caused by unknown focal length.

I've minimized dreaming the Mark series with the A700
I don't give opinions, just what I see : ).
Now 99.9% jpg but still 100% hand held,
No baits, calls and tricks but will use luck.
