XSi SD Card (included?)

From what I can gather, it does not appear that the XSi comes with any sort of media card. Seems crazy to not at least include a small one. So, as I prepare to order my new camera, I am looking for advice on an SD card. SD or SDHC? How fast of a card should I buy? Any great deals out there? And if I shoot RAW, what's the average size picture file size?
