S100fs and Battery Life

I was excited when Fuji introduced the S100fs, but I was somewhat disappointed to see that they moved away from the AA batteries. Even when the price drops, I am hesitant to go for this camera because I doubt the battery would hold a charge for all the shooting I like to do during the course of many of my outings. I don't like the thought of paying $50 for a backup battery.

Maybe I'd feel differently if I didn't already have a stash of rechargable AAs...

From those who bought the S100fs already, how is the battery life for you thus far?
