Fitting the D3 on the bike... (and a snap)
Mar 9, 2008

I have to say I end up using my E3 more than my D3 because the D3 is such a pig to squeeze into the panniers...

Anyway, quick snap first, then the question:

Anyone else trying to carry a D3 on a V-Rod? What solutions have you come up with?

Best I can do at the moment is put all three lenses in their cases, cram two in one pannier and the smallest plus the D3 in the other.

This is suboptimal in many way, but one you guys can probably help me with is better protection for the D3 body while it is bouncing around.

Currently using bubble wrap which works but is a bit, um, tacky.

Is there a D3 case yet? Body armour? Anything?

Camera bag designed to snap to a sissy bar?
