Macbook Pro Question

Hello all,
I'm in the market for a Macbook Pro.
My options are the lastyears model:
15" MBP
2.2 Ghz C2D
2 GB Ram
120GB HD
128 MB NVidea GForce 8600M GT
$1699
and the new:
15" MBP
2.4 Ghz C2D
2 GB Ram
200 GB HD
256 MB NVidea GForce 8600M GT
$1999
My question is....For my intended use which is PS CS3, Bridge, and Lightroom with large 20-30 MB RAW files. Will I see a large increase in performance opting for the newer MBP with 256 MB VRAM, over the older model with only 128 MB VRAM?
What about if I ever started using Aperture? Or is the extra $300 better spent on uprading system RAM to 4 GB?
Thanks for your replies.
