I know this is the lighting forum, but I'm not sure where else to post this. I accidently put it in the d70 forum, but that's not where it's supposed to be. Anyway, I'm working on building my portfolio up so that I can better represent myself. So, recently I've been doing some shoots for free. I have several years experience in photography, so the technical side of things is all second nature to me. However, people are a different game alltogether. I'm working on directing subjects, but I know that I need help with it. Can you guys offer any pointers that would help me direct people? I did just fine talking to my model to make her feel comfortable, but she ultimately kept reverting to one look. What are the best ways to positing a subjects head/body to give flattering results?
