CompactFlash Prices

Just looking at the price I paid for CompactFlash memory cards.

With my first digicam (Kodak DC265, 1.6 MP), in Oct 1999, I bought a 128MB card for $235.

With my second digicam (Minolta DiMage 7Hi, 6.0 MP), in Nov 2003, I bought a 1GB card for $193.

With my third digicam (Canon 400D, 10.1), in Nov 2008, I bought a 4GB card for $53. (Actually, I bought 2 of the cards because of the great price.)

If this trend continues, I'll buy another digicam (14.4 MP) in Nov 2014, and with it I'll get a 16GB card for -$22 (that is I'll receive a $22 rebate for ordering the card)!

Ain't the economics of technology grand?
