I've reset the cam

to factory defaults (pressing the back 2 clear buttons). But the menu
color temp is still 4200k. will do it manually. About personal
settings, can it be done via the cam or thru software??

Personal settings are accomplished using the canon software with camera connected to the computer. Color temp will not be reset by restoring the default settings by pressing the two "clear" buttons, this must be done manually.

These are the "default" settings:

Shooting Mode--(P) AF Mode--(One Shot AF) Metering Mode--(Evaluative) Drive Mode--(Single Frame) AF Point Selection--(Automatic) Exposure Compensation--(0) Flash Exposure Compensation--(0) AE Lock--(Cancelled) FE Lock--(Cancelled) AEB--(Cancelled) Custom Functions--(Settings Retained) AF Point Registration--(Center AF Point) Image Quality--(Large/Fine) White Balance--(Auto) White Balance Bracketing--(Cancelled) Image Processing Parameters--(Standard) Color Matrix--(1)
