The aperture rip off?

OK, so after being on the phone with the apple for over an hour with no solution, I have to vent here.

I purchased Aperture 1.5 less than 3 weeks ago for $299. I just received an e-mail from Apple that 2.0 has come out, and at the reduced price of $199. There is an upgrade path as well that is $99.

So what I am being told is that to have the latest version of the software that I purchased three weeks ago, I will have spent a total of $399. Twice the price.

I understand the 14 day policy, but you would think that those few like me who got the double wammy of a price reduction and upgrade within 3 weeks of a software purchase should be given some slack.

I'm a little po'd at Apple right now.
