H3 vs.PowerShot SX100 IS

Hi all,

Just would like to get your personal opinion if you have used H3 and some of Canon powershots, either SX100 IS, or A650 IS or maybe A720 IS.

Purpose of a camera usage is older family camera for taking pictures of their grandchildren.
A650 has a larger sensor than all the others, but what is a quality of optics.

I have heard that SX 100 has problems with flash recharge lag, maybe other cameras has some common problems?
