Re: Poor Adobe support, e.g. Photoshop Elements
In reply to Stu 5, Feb 5, 2008

Over the years, Adobe has dropped Mac support for a number of products, including PS Elements, Premiere, and Persuasion. The fact that a couple of them were eventually revived doesn't help anyone who was using and depending on them at the time. Also, as far as I am aware, Acrobat still doesn't fully support Leopard.

Personally, I hope that Lightroom stays around for a long time and flourishes, both to compete with Aperture and serve as a replacement should Apple not step up to the plate. But Adobe's record hasn't exactly been stellar.

The Mac users who complain about a few months of what they perceive

Adobe showed for them with Photoshop Elements.

Their lack of commitment to the Mac platform is the reason that I
stopped using Elements several years ago. Adobe is a good company
with excellent products, but they often ignore the Mac Community for
long periods of time.

That will be why Lightroom came out first for Mac's then.
