D100 Minimum Sens 200: Drawbacks?

If this was discussed earlier, I apologize.... I've been wondering why the minimum sensitivity of the D100 will be 200, when the competition uses 100. Drawbacks should be higher noise, less flexibility in bright light, etc. Yet I've seen very little discussion about this. Anyone know why Nikon chose this?
