Cranking the ISO up to 3200 reveals identical sensor banding on all (e.g. cap on 1/30s ) ISO bracketed images. Normally each image has a different pattern.
This would seem to confirm that the sensor is read only once.

Is clocking out a destructive operation ?

Has anyone else noticed that in normal un-bracketed operation high ISO sequences, that the sensor noise banding is worst on the first image, then decreases a little over the next few shots in the sequence. Does reading the sensor clear charge accumulation.
