Weird Lines in Some of My Images (sample)
Jan 20, 2008

Today I shot a basketball game with my 350D and Canon 70-200 f2.8. I was getting 1/320 at ISO 1600, so I set exposure comp. to -2/3 to get 1/500 and then adjusted in PP.

But on a large percentage (1/3 to 1/2) of my images, I had a series of weird lines running through the image.

Sometimes in a continuous burst the lines would be present in the first image and not in the second. Does this mean the sensor is failing? Has anyone experienced this?

Re-size of full frame, no PP. (100% crop below)

100% crop, no PP

Anyone know anything? Thanks so much!!

On a side note** a lot of my images ended up blurry like this. I know (from static shots) that the lens is pretty sharp, I just either didn't keep the focus point in the wrong place, or didn't let it focus fully. I was using center-point AI servo. I'm assuming the 85 f1.8 and the 50 f1.8 or f1.4 focus faster. I'm deciding on one of the three.
