HELP wierd orange solarization on 1280

This morning tried to print a few few pics on my Epson 1280 and got a very intense orange solarization in the highlights of my prints (the shadow and neutral areas appeared to be normal); I did nothing new re settings; I will say the printer had been sitting idle for a few weeks; the cartridges are not low; any help or advice?
