H9 - helping picture quality?

Hey everybody and thanks a lot for helping me choose th H9. For sure its a compromise in matters of picture quality, but its cheap, has a great zoom, a perfect turnable screen and I dont find the menues that bad...
Of course I am disapointed when I open my shots in photoshop - but my on print pictures looks quite ok!
Does anyone have some tips how to help picture quality in photoshop?
I thought maybe making a few actions and run my picture true, before printing.
If some of you have any ideas, please let me know
