Does stabilization (SR) on Pentax A30 P&S works well?

It's very hard to find A30 review, especially the one that tested SR. Similar sensor-shift based system on Fuji f50d didn't tested that well. SR on my Pentax K10D DSLR works very well but I'm concerned about P&S implementation.

Any opinions? How does SR compares to optical IS systems on similar Canon and Panasonic compacts?
